About Me

I'm Iván Quintas, a freelance web developer based in Madrid. I've been building digital products for agencies, SMEs and startups across Spain and the rest of Europe for over 20 years. I work independently under the iqvmedia brand, offering four complementary services: white-label web development for agencies (React, Next.js, Astro, WordPress), technical SEO and audits with direct implementation, automation with n8n and AI for clinics and agencies, and maintenance and migrations for WordPress, Prestashop and Shopify. I favor static sites with Astro because they load in under a second and need no plugins or maintenance, but I also migrate and maintain WordPress when it's the right tool for the client.

Experience

I've led digital projects for recognized brands like Mapfre, Vodafone, Merlin Properties, Essilor, Microsoft and Jané, plus dozens of SMEs and startups across very different sectors: optics, automotive, health, fashion, pharmacy, real estate and technology. That variety has given me a global view of real digital needs: what works for a private clinic doesn't work for an e-commerce, and what suits a marketing agency rarely fits an insurance company. I adapt every solution to the business context, not the other way around.

Technologies I work with

My current stack combines modern tools with battle-tested technologies:

  • Back-end: Node.js, PHP, Laravel, REST and GraphQL APIs
  • CMS: WordPress (custom themes and plugins), Strapi
  • Automation & AI: n8n, OpenAI/Claude APIs, WhatsApp Business integrations
  • Performance & technical SEO: Core Web Vitals, Schema.org, sitemaps, hreflang
I don’t pick technologies because they’re trendy. I choose what best solves the client’s problem and what their team (or I) can still maintain six years later without surprises.

How I work

I always work alone, no intermediaries or layers of management. When you collaborate with iqvmedia you talk to me from the first call to the day your project goes live.

My process is direct:
  1. Briefing: you send me the project context — Figma, technical requirements, timeline. Whatever you have.
  2. Fixed quote in 24-48 business hours: no «it depends» or surprises.
  3. Short sprints with weekly demos and staging access to validate progress.
  4. Delivery and handoff: domain, hosting, access and documentation.
  5. Optional ongoing support: maintenance, improvements and evolution.
I prioritize two things many forget: that the site loads fast on mobile and that it shows up on Google. A beautiful site that takes six seconds to load and doesn't rank is useless.

Education and continuous learning

Trained at Universidad Europea de Madrid, and learning continuously since 2005. I follow the ecosystem actively: I publish tutorials on the iqvmedia blog, contribute to open source projects, and keep my knowledge current on the cloud platforms and CMSes I use. Tech moves fast, so I spend time every week trying new tools and dropping the ones that are just noise.
